The client is a trust that runs a family of secondary schools. It came to us for a parental engagement toolkit: the tools its schools use to publish to parents.
The brief
One system for the whole trust, built once rather than once per school. A distinct voice for each school, because every school speaks to its own parents in its own way.
Those two requirements pull against each other, and the toolkit had to hold both.
The approach
A core system carries everything the schools share. School-by-school templates sit on top and carry everything they do not.
Each school publishes through its own template, in its own voice, while the trust keeps a single system underneath.
